A Character Cheat Sheet:

Dad:

'Darby':

I met Darby in college when I was a sophomore and she was a freshman and we dated during my senior year.  When I moved to London she spent a semester abroad in Prague.  We tried to make a long distance relationship work, but eventually broke up.  She is currently living in Florida scheming to work in a chocolate factory.

Jill:

Jill was a year below me in Geneseo as a chemistry major.  While I was able to convince her to rub a bull's testicles, she still doesn't believe me that physics is better than chemistry.  Jill used to work as a lab rat in Buffalo growing crystals for a chemical company, but recently moved to Florida to take up some business sales job I don't really understand.  Her idea of prince charming is a man who can play better golf than her.  Good luck guys, she usually shoots par.

Marine:

Marine is from France and I met her through my classes at London Metropolitan.  After interning at a public relations company in central London for no money, she now has a proper grownup job.

Mom:

My mother has been a flight attendant for 35 years and just recently took a side job working as a real estate agent.

The Sheep:

Zornitsa and I adopted the sheep from a flock living around Stonehenge.  We brought her home, and she has been causing trouble for me ever since: hiding my glasses, messing with my travel card, and changing the settings on my computer when I'm not around.  Still, she's nice enough to let me practice my teaching on her.

Troy:

Troy graduated the same year as I with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Physics from Geneseo.  He wins the award for the smartest guy I know who doesn't look it.  He lives in Caledonia, New York with his kitten, Sundance Kit.

Zornitsa:

Zornitsa is a strong willed Bulgarian woman who I met in my London Metropolitan Classes.  There isn't anyway to describe her except to say that she's an Eastern European Princess.  We lived together for eighteen months and she was by far the most interesting person I've shared a flat with.  In February she moved to Brussels to work for the European Union.

`Names in Quotes':

Names in quotes are either nicknames or names I changed to protect the person or myself.  For example, neither `St Hedwig's' nor `Errol's Accademy' are the real names of the schools I taught at.
